John Ballou Horsford, Sr., 85, died Sat. June 25th at his home at John Knox Village East in Higginsville, MO.
He was born October 12, 1930 in Glen Ridge, NJ to George and Harriet (Ballou) Horsford.
He married Rosemarie Levien February 13, 1960 at St. Michael’s Church in Union, NJ. She preceded him in death on September 9, 1990.
John served in the Army from October 1, 1952 to September 30, 1955. He attained the rank of Specialist 4th Class. He worked as a trust officer at Midlantic Bank in Newark, NJ until his retirement in 1991.
He loved sailing, the shore, his kids and his cats. He was a founding member of the Montclair Ski Club, a member of the Bristol Sailing Club, a member and the treasurer for the Lackawana Power Squadron. He moved to Higginsville, MO in March 2015.

2 Grandchildren: Jesse and Sean Horsford
A memorial will be held in October in Cape May, NJ.
