Lynn Wetmore, 91, of Corder, died February 25, 2020 at her home.
She was born October 25, 1928 in Syracuse, NY to Edward and Edna (Pollard) Boss.
She grew up in New York and graduated from Malverne High School 1945.
She married Horace “Hop” O. Wetmore, Jr. in 1952.
Lynn was a Navy Veteran, serving almost 2 years in the US Navy as a Parachute Rigger for Naval personnel. After her discharge she worked as a bank teller and homemaker for over 40 years.
During their marriage, she and “Hop” lived near multiple Naval Air Bases due to his 31 year naval pilot career. Upon his retirement they settled in Southern Shores, NC.
Lynn was a member of the Military Women of Tidewater VA. Unit 152. She served as an organist in multiple churches and sang in multiple choirs. She was also a member of a singing quartet from the Outer Banks of NC called the Sweet Carolines. She liked to knit, cross stitch and do needlepoint and her works are all over the US from children and grandchildren to nurses in hospitals.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988; a daughter, Marcia Wetmore; a brother, E. James Boss, Jr.

Memorials are suggested to the Lutheran Good Shepherd Home in Concordia.
