Jack E. Wade, 78, of Mayview, died Oct. 12th at his home.

He was born December 22, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to William and Louise (Ainsworth) Wade
Jack served in the Marine Corps from December of 1956-December of 1959.
He married Carol Ann VonHolten March 7, 1958 in Imperial Beach, CA
Jack and Carol moved to Mayview in 1989 when he retired from Union Pacific Railroad.
He was a member of the Lafayette Gun Club. He enjoyed bird watching, gardening, spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren, and competing in local, national and international gun matches.
He is preceded in death by his father.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 17th at 11:30 am at Kaiser ~Wiegers Funeral Home in Higginsville, officiated by George Rocha.
Casket bearers will be Wade Thomas, Scott Wade, Bobby Bridges, Ian Wade, Tim Frerking, David Starke. Honorary casket bearers will be Jack Duvall and Larry Jackson.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
He will be buried in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery with an honor guard provided by the American Legion Post 223
Memorials are suggested to the Lafayette County Cancer Coalition or Crossroads Hospice in lieu of flowers
